Making your first swap

If you're not familiar with decentralized exchanges, they differentiate from centralized exchanges (such as Binance, Coinbase, and so on) in the sense that decentralized trades are conducted peer-to-peer (or, wallet to wallet).

Unlike a centralized exchange, this means you do not have to give up custody of your tokens to a third party to broker a trade. Your tokens remain in your custody at all times, until you decide to trade them.

Solarbeam allows a user to quickly conduct these transactions, with minimal steps.

Step 1. Go to the swap site, and select the tokens you wish to swap.

Step 2. Input the amount you would like to trade

Step 3. Click "Approve", and confirm the swap in your wallet.

Step 4. Click "Swap" to finalize transaction.
